Ahead of the switch to widget version 5.2, there are two things to check in your integration: the V5 script and the merchant token.
Below you’ll find all the information you need to make sure your integration is set up correctly.
What do I need to check before the switch?
You need to check two things:
- That your website loads the V5 widget script.
- That every widget snippet includes the merchant token.
If both are in place, the switch to version 5.2 will happen automatically.
How can I check quickly?
It takes about a minute:
- Open a product page on your website.
- View the page source.
- Search for the string
scalapay-widget.
From there, you can check the script URL and whether the merchant-token attribute is present.
How do I get the merchant token?
The merchant token must be requested directly from the Scalapay team. To get it, fill in the dedicated form by clicking the button below.
What happens on the day of the switch?
It depends on your current setup:
- V5 script + merchant token: the widget automatically switches to version 5.2.
- V5 script without merchant token: the widget stays on version 5.1.
- V3 or V1 script, or loader with no version specified: the previous widget stays active, and version 5.2 will not load until the merchant updates the integration.
