Pay By Link: what it is and how it works

Scalapay offers the option to pay in 3 or 4 installments also through Pay by Link.

Updated over a month ago

Pay by Link allows merchants to send their customers a link for installment payments.

It is available within the Scalapay Partner Portal as a ready-to-use feature, but it can also be integrated into merchants' systems in a custom way via API calls.

PAY BY LINK VIA PARTNER PORTAL

To create a Pay by Link via the Scalapay Partner Portal, follow these steps

  1. Log in with your account on the Scalapay Partner Portal.

2. In the left menu, go to the "Pay by Link" section. Click on "Create Order."

3. To create an order, you need to:

- Fill in the required fields (the necessary fields are Order Amount, Order Description, First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number)

- Click on "Create Order"

4. After clicking "Create Order," you will be redirected to the "Pay by Link" section.

At the top of the page, you will see the alert message "The order was created." At this point, the order will be shown in the "Pending Orders" section.

If the order was not created through the previous step, the link to send to the customer can be copied from the section indicated here.

5.The customer who receives the link will have one hour to use it. After one hour, the link will no longer be valid. In the Scalapay app, the customer will be able to check the total amount of the order, enter their payment card details, and confirm the order

6. At this point, the order will be marked as paid and will be available in the "Transactions of the Day" section
